Empire Avenue vs Klout vs PeerIndex

So which tool do you use to manage you social media “value” and why?

The three I most hear about are Klout, PeerIndex and Empire Avenue - and they’re all starting to look the same.

While these sites are rapidly being adopted by people in the digital marketing world, will there ever be a time they’ll be used by anybody with a facebook profile?

Are these kinds of tools the first step to people managing the sale of their own data for advertisers to better target them with the right products and services?

Or, like Empire Avenue, are they just another example of gamification and a bit of addictive fun?

Empire Avenue now tracks your LinkedIn activity

I was only writing yesterday how Empire Avenue had been developing at an extremely fast rate, and lo and behold today they unveil another update. You can now connect your LinkedIn account.

While this is in BETA it will add no value to your share price, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time. Luckily for me I’m quite a heavy user of the B2B social media site.

Is Empire Avenue becoming your social media dashboard?

A while ago I got hooked on Empire Avenue as an online share trading game where you buy and sell stock in  other people.

The game has developed extremely quickly over the past few months with continual adjustments to the game mechanics and improvements to the user interface. However, the most recent change is the inclusion of a widget that tracks your social media activity across a number of properties.

Is this way of measuring your social media “value” unique to Empire Avenue?
